Our medical director, Dr. Emilia Ripoll M.D., is a board certified urologist. She was born in Barcelona, Spain and educated in the United States. Dr. Ripoll has studied, practiced, and taught urology in the United States for more than 25 years. Her international experience as a urologic oncologist gives her a unique medical perspective that allows her to put her fingers on the pulse of the latest therapeutic advances from both continents.
Dr. Ripoll’s is the author of two books and dozens of articles on urology. Her specialties include brachytherapy, cryotherapy, and high frequency ultrasound (HIFU) treatments for prostate cancer; numerous treatments for interstitial cystitis (IC), as well as anti-aging medicine with special interests in andropause, male hormone replacement, and PRP therapy. Dr. Ripoll is on the medical staff of several Front Range hospitals.
In addition to Dr. Ripoll’s considerable skill as a scholar, diagnostician, and surgeon, what separates her from other physicians is her ability to connect with patients on an intuitive level while engaging her encyclopedic medical knowledge.

Tom Bunn L.Ac.
Acupuncture Training: Mr. Bunn received his training at several acupuncture colleges in Denver, Colorado.
For the past 15 years, Tom Bunn L.Ac. has specialized in working with patients who have chronic pain, urologic conditions, or want to lose weight in a medically supervised program. Mr. Bunn also works with Olympic and national caliber gymnasts, keeping them healthy and at their competitive peak.
Mr. Bunn is also the co-author of a scientific paper detailing acupuncture’s role as a complementary treatment of urological disorders (World Journal of Urology, Nov. 2002) .
In addition to Mr. Bunn’s extensive knowledge of acupuncture, nutrition, and metabolic pathways, he is a practitioner of Tai Chi and Qi Gong and has a 4th degree black belt in Kung Fu.
Katrina Bailey PA-C
Graduate School: University of Colorado’s Child Health Advocate/Physician’s Assistant Program
Katrina Bailey PA-C is a Boulder, Colorado native who specializes in women’s health, dermatology, and orthopedics in a primary care setting. She is dedicated to compassionate high-quality health care, which she says begins with listening to her patients.
When Katrina’s not working, she is busy raising two small children. She also enjoys Colorado’s year-round outdoor activities like biking, skiing, and gardening.
